Elizabet Paunović is the retired director of the European Center for Environment and Health of the World Health Organization (Bonn, Germany). She lives in Belgrade and works as an independent expert and international consultant for the effects of living and working environments on health. She is a member of the National Ecological Association in Serbia. She is a doctor by education (Medical Faculty in Belgrade) and she specialized in occupational medicine, traffic-related and sports medicine (Medical Faculty in Ljubljana, Slovenia), and received postgraduate training in environmental protection.
